Ariadne Appraisals and Advisory provides USPAP-compliant appraisals and collection advisory services for private collectors, estates, fiduciaries, insurers, and institutions, specializing in rare books, manuscripts, ephemera, and photography.The practice is led by Kara McLaughlin, who brings over twenty years of experience in the antiquarian book and paper trade as proprietor of Little Sages Books and an ABAA/ILAB member.Over the course of her career, she has placed material with major libraries and museums and worked directly with collectors on the development, positioning, and stewardship of their libraries and archives.
